It was another worthwhile trip across the Irish Sea for Oliver. Ballaghmor Class was his only ride in the CCI3*, and the pair completed on their 44.4 dressage score in 4th place.

MHS King Joules, who had been selected as part of the Nations Cup team, went two better finishing 2nd, again on his first phase score – 39.7. The British team finished second behind France.

Sweeps Crystal Cruise took 5th place in the CCI1* after lowering fence 6 in the show jumping; with Attractive Proposition it was fence 3 that fell, Ros Edwards’s 8 year old finishing 17th out of 68 starters.

Menlo Park was the star of the weekend, though, winning the Young Horse CCI1*, having led from pillar to post with the only sub-40 dressage score.
