Oliver’s European Championship gold medal-winning ride Cooley SRS has been sold to Terry Snow, and will be competed by Australian event rider Hazel Shannon.

The 11-year-old Irish sport horse gelding, who was owned by Angela Hislop, finished in ninth place individually at the 2014 world championships for seven-year-olds in France and was long-listed for WEG after finishing runner up at this year’s Badminton.

“It was a big decision to sell and I have mixed emotions. It’s very sad to see a top class horse, particularly one that finished runner up in his first 4* at Badminton this year, leave the yard & Britain – but, at the same time, his sale enables Angela to invest in another future star.

“I’m extremely happy for Terry Snow, who is a huge supporter of equestrianism. I hope that Cooley SRS will bring as much pleasure to Terry and his new rider, Hazel Shannon, as he has done to both myself and Angela, and I wish them every success.”
