Oliver finished his season with a final run at Pau 5* on the legendary Ballaghmor Class, now 18-years-old.
‘Thomas’ performed a great dressage test to sit in second place on a score of 26.1. Across country, he was his usual reliable self, but just tapped a frangible fence incurring 11 penalties – his only cross-country penalty in 14 rounds at CCI5*. What an incredible horse. Without that 11 penalties he would have moved up into the lead.
He cruised through the final horse inspection ahead of the hugely influential showjumping. There were plenty of cricket scores across the field and unfortunately Thomas has three rails down, but he still remains top dog in Oliver’s heart.
