Gem Mist was the best placed of Oliver’s rides, taking the runner-up spot in a novice section, courtesy of a sub-30 dressage and clear inside the time across country – the horse’s best result of the season.
Just O Top Saussignac picked up 20 penalties at the influential fence 17 across country, but in the open intermediate Dromgurrihy Gold jumped a lovely steady clear, with a couple of rails down but a good sub-25 dressage score.
