Oliver had a somewhat eye-watering 13 horses competing at Cholmondeley, from BE100 up to open intermediate where his Burghley winner Ballaghmor Class jumped a smart, but very steady, double clear.

Arklow Puissance provided a win, finishing on his 23.0 dressage score while, like Ballaghmor Class, Miss Cooley also had a gentle run across country and both Cooley Master Class and Cillnabradden Evo were withdrawn after the showjumping.

There was a novice win for Cooley Rosalent, her second on the bounce – she hasn’t finished out of the top 6 in her last six runs. Meanwhile two of the BE100 babies took home rosettes. There was a 4th place ribbon for Kilnamac Croga and a 6th for Heraut.
