There were no prizes last weekend at Barbury Castle, although all five of Oliver’s rides jumped clear across country – if you don’t count the 11 penalties given to Armada for hitting a frangible pin.
Dromgurrihy Blue posted the best dressage score, 39.4 in the CIC2*, whilst Armada and Note Worthy produced the show jumping clears.
With the ground on the firm side – before the rain rolled in on Sunday – Oliver kept his foot off the accelerator across country, so time penalties were the order of the day.
