Oliver only had one runner at Aston-le-Walls, but it was a worthwhile trip. Gadlas and Caunton Stud have a newly minted advanced horse in the stable. En Taro des Vernier tackled his first advanced at Aston and felt like he learnt lots, so his future is looking exciting.

It was then on to Warwick where King Edward of Barrells won his novice section – his first run at the level. At BE100 On Song put in a good performance, finishing just outside the top 10 with a cross country clear, sub-30 dressage and just one rail down in the showjumping.
