Oliver won a team gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games, after which he was awarded an MBE in Her Majesty The Queen’s New Year’s Honours list, for services to equestrianism.
At the end of 2023 he had ridden 35 different horses at CCI5* level (including old CCI4*) and 54 different horses at CCI4*L level (including old CCI3*)
In 2022 Oliver had 214 runs, posted 35 wins, jumped clear across country 173 times and show jumped clear 114 times. Ballaghmor Class finished the season sixth in the top horse league, having amassed 335 points.
With multiple event cancellations, in 2023 Oliver had 145 runs, posted 25 wins, jumped clear across country 111 times and show jumped clear 81 times.
